Matthew Lawn

I am a 23 year old sports devotee, I have successfully completed my level 1 and 2 FA coaching badges before following my ambitions of coaching football in America.

During my time in New Jersey America I was employed as an Academy Coach, my main role as an academy coach would be to coach the fundamentals of football to children from the ages of 3-6 years old and deliver more technical/advanced coaching to children from 7-18 years old.

My coaching did not only involve working with groups of children, but also attending to individual needs. A lot of my time was taken up coaching younger children, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Seeing the younger children progress and become more involved and confident in football gave me great job satisfaction.

Since returning home from America, I am now studying for a BA Hons Degree in Sports Management, I have a real passion for sport and spend free time performing sports such as, football, swimming, fishing and surfing.

I have collectively over 800 hours experience coaching football to children from the ages of 2-18 years old. I hope to continue to build my knowledge and experience of football and share this by delivering educational fun-filled football to children from the ages of 3-6 years old. I also hope to help parents/grandparents/sisters/brothers-everyone become more involved in football throughout the North East of England and eventually the UK.

Michael Lowden

I turned 16 in June and finished my GCSE's at Seaton Burn high school and am waiting on my results to come in August.

I am planning on attending Newcastle College, where I will take a national diploma in sports and exercise science for two years.

I am a qualified referee and have refereed many junior games since qualifying, i'm planning on taking my FA level 2 coaching badge very soon, which will help me with football squirts and my diploma at college. I heard about squirts through an article in the Evening Chronicle and applied for a job as coach. I feel that football squirts is enhancing my coaching skills and enabling me to learn the essentials in interaction and integration with other coaches, parents and children. In my spare time I enjoy taking part in sports such as football, basketball and tennis just to name a few.

Michael Dickinson

I am an ex professional football player playing for Carlisle united for 3 years. I have held my FA level 2 coaching badge for 5 years now. I am very passionate about coaching children and seeing how kids can progress learn and develop from fun and enjoyable football games. I have over 5 years experience of coaching children from a wide age range from 3 – 18 years old.
